Trips
The trips algorithm it’s based on different factors, depending on the trips’s definition option you have selected for them withing the Trips Management tap in Organization.
One common issue is the Syrus Interface’s firmware not being updated. If the interface or micro-controler’s firmware is not updated to at least a 1.8.x version, or for the Syrus 3G-LC the 1.9.x version, it might not detect the vehicle’s ignition status and the communication with the Syrus internal module won’t be fluent.
To correct this, just go to Pegasus Console and press the Upgrade buttom for the interface, it will automatically send the correct command to upgrade the firmware.
Trip Management Options:
This section will give you the options to setup different trip alternatives based on your needs, for Example: For a regular vehicle, we recommend the MOVEMENT AND IGNITION DETECTION alternative, for stationary equipment, like a water pump motor, the alternative ONLY IGNITION DETECTION will be more suitable and so on.
To get to the trip management option go to: Organization>Devices – then click on the device you need to setup the trip to and click on TRIP MANAGEMENT section, once here click on the drop down menu icon at the right side of the Trip menu (see below)

… once you have choose your trip option, just go to the bottom and click on SET buttom:
