      How to diagnose Syrus devices

      • Syrus is OFFLINE in Pegasus*
*Depending on its configuration it is normal for a device to be OFFLINE, if it has not been in motion for a while, their Inputs/Outputs hasn’t been activated/deactivated in a long period of time, if there’s not network coverage or if it is limited.
If none of these apply to your situation, you can proceed with a basic diagnostic:

      – Check if Syrus is connected to a 12v. power suply (red cable + & black cable –)

      – Check if its Simcard is properly inserted, activated and transmitting data

      – Make sure network coverage in the area is good (a RSSI level >15 and above is recommended)

      • Syrus is ONLINE in Pegasus but doesn’t  show  Trips

      – Check that Syrus has a managed configuration synchronized

      – Make sure Syrus and Interface firmwares are updated to the latest stable version released
For the latest firmware releases click FIRMWARES RELEASES

      – Make sure trips are turned on. You can verify and edit the trips definition in Pegasus here: Organiztion>Devices>Trips Management

If your Trips definition includes “igntion status” make sure Syrus is detecting the vehicle’s ignition
(This is the Syrus yellow cable that should be connected to the vehicle’s ignition’s switch)

The easiest way to figure out if your device is detecting the ignition status of your vehicle is running a Raw Data report within your Pegasus:
Organization>Rawdata, select vehicle and the “ignition status” parameter*
*It is a good idea to include the “main power” parameter, this will give you an idea if there’s any issues with the conexions.A tipical Ignition Status should look like this, where you see the changes when ignition is ON and OFF

*”X”s ONLY IN THE “IGNITION STATUS” PARAMETER, MEANS IGNITION IS NOT BEING DETECTED  BY SYRUS
(MAKE SURE SYRUS YELLOW CABLE IT IS PROPERLY CONNECTED TO VEHICLE IGNITON SWITCH)
